We specialize in macro-photography, specimen photography, dissection photography, portraiture, editorial, and documentation photography that can be used to promote the research, mission, and goals of your lab, project or program.
Please note that publicity, sports, advertising, and event photos are generally handled by the University Communications and Marketing team or by contacting one of the university’s preferred free-lance photographers.
Also, most video and audio inquiries should be directed to The New Media Studio or, if for promotional use, to the UCM team, but we’re also happy to hear about projects and make recommendations for who best to contact. Simple, quick video/audio editing help may also be available through Research Graphics, but on a case-by-case basis depending on scope and availability.

When using images created by our facility, you are required to acknowledge the Research Graphics Facility at UMBC in all publications and other forms of media whenever possible. Any publications that are for profit needs to be licensed and discussed with the manager of Research Graphics, copyright and additional licensing fees may apply.
